Crucifixion
The street performance culminates with the Crucifixion and Descent from the Cross, which consists of several scenes: the actual nailing of Jesus to the cross; the lifting of the cross; the sackcloth players gambling with the dice; the farewell to the Virgin Mary (after which the impressive notes of the Stabat Mater resound); the dialogue between a Roman centurion and a repentant captain; and the Descent from the Cross.
Without torches or traditional lighting, the atmosphere is created through audiovisual effects that transport attendees to a moment of great emotional impact.
The final point is the reverence of Death, who surrenders before the Lamb of God, who will rise again on the third day.
