This year, the square performance of the Processó de Verges will take a step forward in its reach and will be broadcast live across the country. The event can be followed on the 3Cat platform and on TV3 starting at 11:30 PM on Maundy Thursday.
This broadcast is part of “Som únics”, a new TV program focused on Catalan popular culture as a key part of the country’s heritage.
“Som únics”: celebrating popular culture
“Som únics” is a program that explores local festivals and traditions, highlighting them as a defining legacy of Catalan society. Journalist Espartac Peran travels across Catalonia to experience first-hand the cultural events where people of all ages come together.
The show offers a televised journey showcasing how each town proudly presents its most emblematic celebration—the one that makes it truly unique. These are events that happen only once a year, yet they reflect universal values and keep Catalonia’s history alive.
Through this initiative, 3Cat provides an inside look at this festive heritage, bringing it closer to audiences using advanced broadcast technology.
A special live broadcast from Verges
