The Association of the Verges Procession is pleased to announce the winning artwork of the Second Edition of the Verges Procession Poster Competition. This competition, which aims to celebrate creativity and symbolism surrounding our beloved procession, once again stands out for the high artistic level of all submitted works.
Winning artwork

Joanjo Bosk
Sota la màscara (2025)
Acrylic painting on Canson paper
This artwork, which will receive a €2,000 prize and become part of the Association’s collection, will be the official image of the Verges Procession 2026 poster. In addition, the artist will produce a limited edition of graphic works.
Artist’s statement:
The winning image captures one of the most important characters of the Procession: the dancer of the Dance of Death. The work reflects on the fleeting nature of life and the awareness of this reality, where the person hidden within the dancer and beneath the mask shares prominence with the iconic clock without hands.
Popular Vote Award

Joaquim Sicart
Foc i Funesta (2025)
Gouache on paper with digital finishes, 65 × 50 cm
A skull and a scythe, wrapped in red flames, symbolize destruction and rebirth. The synthetic style powerfully conveys the strength of the Dance of Death and its universal message through striking graphic expression.
We sincerely thank all the artists and voters who made this edition possible. We invite you to visit all the selected works at the exhibition held at the Ca La Rosa Art and Research Centre, open until Sunday, December 28th.
See you on Maundy Thursday evening in Verges to once again experience the emotion of the Procession!
