Simon Furey, an English Catalan enthusiast and member of the Anglo-Catalan Society, decided to translate Jordi Roca i Rovira’s La Processó de Verges into English after witnessing the Procession firsthand. He wanted his fellow countrymen to discover and love it just as he had.

Encouraged by Professor Alan Yates, he produced an excellent translation of the original, expanded with a preliminary study of his own. Furey handled the editing and publishing himself and distributes the book online, although the Procession Association also holds a stock available for anyone interested.
