Dansa de la Mort Postcards – Jean Paul Soudan

In 2001, Belgian artist Jean Paul Soudan donated a series of illustrations to be publicly exhibited. This collection of five unique designs represents the Dansa de la Mort, one of the most iconic elements of the Procession of Verges.

Each postcard features one of the symbolic figures of the dance:

• The Standard Bearer (L’Abanderat), who solemnly leads the way

• The Scythe (La Dalla), the inevitable symbol of life’s end

• The Scales (Els Platets), marking the relentless rhythm of fate

• The Clock (El Rellotge), a reminder of time’s unstoppable passage
