El muntatge del tablado de la Processó de Verges

Setting Up the Stage for the Procession of Verges

Last Sunday, March 23rd, despite the weather, the stage was set up in the main square of Verges. As every year, this moment marks the symbolic beginning of the countdown to Holy Week.

The stage is more than just a wooden structure. For a whole month, it blends in with the medieval walls and towers, becoming part of the town’s everyday landscape. It transforms into the heart of rehearsals, a playground, and a meeting point. For many, it is the true beginning of the Procession.

This year, we wanted to capture this special moment with a video that documents the building process from the inside. Through images and interviews, this 10-minute short film shows how a key piece of our intangible heritage is collectively built.

This visual tribute is dedicated to all the hands that, year after year, keep this tradition alive.
